Donna's Artist Statement

My name is Donna Stressman, and I am mostly self-taught. I enjoy using many different mediums.

Oils are my first love, but I do not use oils a lot now, as they are hard to travel with when wet. Since my husband and I are retired, we travel quite a lot. I photograph along the way, so I can paint or carve later some of the beauty that God has made for us to enjoy.

I also enjoy stained glass mosaics, photography, oils, watercolor, acrylics, wood and horn sculpture, and metal and leather art.

I belong to the Rivertown Artist’s Guild in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and also the Ocala Art Group, Marian Art Alliance, and Treasure Coast Carvers in Florida.

I do my own framing, as well as my own reproductions on paper and canvas up to 18 x 24 inches.
