Jan Upp

Jan's personal life's history can be summed up as wife, mother of four, grandmother of fourteen, great grandmother of twenty and soon to be a great, great,  grandmother.  The rest of her life is ART.

No matter where she is or what she is doing she is always thinking how it would look in a painting, or how it could be altered in some way and interpreted into a piece of art.

Over the years Jan has painted in most media and has had over 40 one person exhibits in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. Besides exhibiting in Florida, England and Greece her work has been included in  many juried exhibits around the country.  Primarily a  watercolorist, who sometimes works in other watermedia, Jan  often works in series.  She has taught classes and workshops in many locations, including a class at Grand Valley State University and privately in her studio.

Jan will be teaching a week long workshop called "PUSHING YOUR CREATIVE LIMITS" at the Franciscan Life Process Center in Lowell, Michigan June 7-11, 2010.  If anyone is interested in this workshop contact the Franciscan Center at 1- 616- 897-7842.
